Sin and Depression:
Sin is anything that intentionally causes unjust harm to yourself or anyone else. If you sense it is wrong it most likely is. Listen to the truth of what's in your heart, or your G.U.T... Gods Undeniable Truth!
When you are true to yourself you should not get depressed, at least not for long.
If you feel depressed... your gut is telling you to make a change in your life.
You may need to change your friends, your job, or your attitude, etc.
If you are depressed you are not being true to yourself... something is out of balance... Someone or something is going against your G.U.T.
You can fix this by making simple changes to restore balance in your life! This can be as simple as turning to your God given reason and asking yourself what is making you uneasy.
The change may be similar to one of the examples below:
Let's say you drink too much alcohol;
It is a proven fact that alcohol causes depression, and many other problems.
Now, you know the truth through reason, so follow the truth and stop drinking!
You will feel better, live longer and have a higher quality of life.
You Smoke cigarettes;
It is an observible fact that cigarettes cause many problems including death!
Therefore the truth through reason is that cigarettes are bad for you. If you stop smoking you will live longer, feel better, and have a happier, healthier life. Sounds like a no-brainer to me!
Or let's say... You eat too much and don't get enough exorcise!
It is also an observed fact that it is not healthy to over eat, and that moderate exorcise is good for you.
You should eat healthy and exercise in order to take care of you body.
Once you start this routine, you will feel better, live longer and enjoy doing it.
It all sounds simple... but yet not always so easy.
you can find strength to change thru reason and the strength to handle what you cannot change. Put faith in and listen to your god given ability to reason then relax and enjoy life.
We are taught that we need many material things to be happy!
This is not true... All we really need is food, water, shelter, our ability to reason, family and friends. And I'm not so sure about the friends, especially if you have family.
We also should work with our hands, mind, and body, seeking what is already here for us to achieve happiness and survival. Nature has given us all that we need to survive and be happy, and the intellect to seek those things.
You should not be depressed if you don't have all the material items of others. Material items don't bring true happiness, in fact many of those material items will eventually become burdens.
You can only find peace and happiness in your heart when you live listen to and respect your ability to observe what it true and follow your ability to reason.
If someone you love passes from this world It is ok to be sad. But don't let their passing destroy your life. No one wants their loved ones to dwell in sadness. Dwell in the good memories.
